New changes and what they mean for you
Let me begin this post by apologizing for the absence of Church Visuals on social networks as of late. We still love you all, we’ve just been going through a self discovery phase.
God has been preparing us for some wonderful changes and we can’t wait to share them all with you! First, a little back story. Before Church Visuals, I owned andĀ operatedĀ a design company that mostly served small to medium sized businesses with web and print design. At the same time, I served as a worship leader at a fantastic growing church. Life was good. I absolutely loved leading worship and being a graphic designer! Then God told me it was time for a change. I was to give up my business, turn in my resignation at church and move 500 miles away from my family.
I said no.
Ever said No to God? It’s not usually a comfortable decision or position to be in. After juggling with the weight of this calling for some time however, I realized that God probably knew what he was doing and it might be best for me to listen. So I gave up my business, told my church and started making plans. I knew God was instructing me to use my gifts and experience working with the church to help churches build a better experience. My plan was to start a new company that created websites and print material for churches, after all, that is what I do. Little did I know that my plan was just a small part of God’s plans for me and this new ministry and company I was pouring myself into.
Bring on the changes.
After spending some time in prayer, seeking council of church leaders and friends, studying the word and allowing myself to be completely empty to allow God to pour into me, I am excited to see His plans take shape. We have been really busy working our butts off to get in line with God’s vision for us. First new change, our company ‘Church Visuals’ is now named ‘Church Flair’. Why you ask? Well, the name church visuals is a bit limiting and doesn’t really relate to some of the new offerings we are about to unveil.
Church Flair exists to help churches create experiences that impact lives. Check out our new website at churchflair.com and let us know what you think. This doesn’t mean Church Visuals is going away, it will still be our hub to create and give away free graphics and resources for the church. Along with this site we will be launching several others with free resources for specific ministries like missions and worship. We have several new projects that we will be unveiling soon like a site that connects churches and guest ministers plus a new training series for your team of leaders and volunteers. I’m so excited and could fill a dozen posts with our new ideas and plans as Church Flair.
For now, I finish this post with a huge thank you to everyone that has helped with this transition and to you for being part of our ministry. I ask for your prayer as we carry out our calling and your input on our efforts.
God Bless,
Christopher Welty
