Welcome to our second season of Conversation with Ministry Leaders. On our first episode back we are going to step inside the world of “magic” and the art of storytelling with illusionist Harris III.

From humble beginnings in rural Tennessee to becoming a millionaire magician by age 21, Harris shares his remarkable journey. Yet success proved fleeting. After going bankrupt at 22, he experienced a profound awakening.

Throughout our conversation, Harris reveals how his experience as an illusionist shaped his understanding of deception. Moreover, he explains how these same principles influence our daily lives through advertising and media. Additionally, he connects these concepts to deeper questions about faith and purpose.

Harris passionately discusses the power of visual storytelling. In fact, he emphasizes that everything communicates visually – from parking lot greeters to stage presentations. Furthermore, he introduces the concept of “narrative intelligence” as essential for effective communication in today’s world.
Despite performing impressive illusions, Harris believes his lasting impact comes through the stories he tells. Similarly, he encourages ministry leaders to develop their narrative skills. Above all, he challenges us to recognize how stories shape our perceptions and beliefs.
