The Piano

Tracy’s childhood was shaped by his mother’s musical vision and his talent at the piano, which became his refuge as his home life deteriorated. Caught between church community and street freedom in Chicago’s south side, his life began spiraling out of control. Just as the piano undergirded the gospel songs of his youth, God had always been present beneath the surface of Tracy’s life. We often only recognize what’s truly holding our lives together when everything seems to be falling apart.
