Alex Lions and Hannah Coleman from the South Carolina Baptist Convention share insights on these pressing issues. They discuss how smaller churches are transitioning from in-person only to digital-first approaches. However, many church leaders lack the technical skills needed for modern communication.
The conversation reveals a key shift in strategy. Previously, the Baptist Convention focused solely on reaching pastors as gatekeepers. Now, they’re developing resources that speak directly to congregation members. Additionally, they’re creating evangelistic content for streaming platforms like Amazon Prime and YouTube.
Visual communication plays a crucial role in gospel outreach. Hannah explains that quality design doesn’t require perfection. Instead, it needs clarity and aesthetic appeal to capture attention. Furthermore, different visual styles reach different audiences effectively.
The discussion also explores AI’s impact on church communications. Interestingly, Gen X and millennials embrace AI tools most readily. Meanwhile, both boomers and Gen Z show more resistance to artificial intelligence.
