MediaShout has been serving churches for years, and their latest version brings exciting new features to the table. Let’s explore how this tool can help you visually communicate the Gospel more effectively.
Keep in mind, our entire Ready-Made Media Library is compatible with all major presentation software.
Getting Started with Media Shout 7
Media Shout 7 is available for Windows, with version 6 supporting both Windows and Mac. You can download a free trial from mediashout.com to test its capabilities. Upon launching the software, you’re greeted with a welcome screen that offers quick access to create new scripts, open existing ones, or explore sample presentations.
Understanding the Basics
In MediaShout, your main document is called a “script,” borrowing terminology from theater. Each element within your script is a “cue,” which can contain multiple pages. This structure allows for easy organization and manipulation of your presentation content.
The software utilizes up to three outputs from your computer:
Creating Your Presentation
The ribbon bar at the top of the interface is your gateway to adding content. You can create various types of cues, including blank, lyric, Bible, and text cues. The software allows you to easily add text, images, videos, and even audio files to your presentation.
One of MediaShout 7’s strengths is its flexibility. You can drag and drop content directly from your computer’s file explorer, resize and reposition elements with ease, and layer objects to create visually striking slides.
New Features in Media Shout 7
Sermon Builder Tool
This brand-new feature streamlines the process of creating sermon presentations. It guides you through entering your sermon title, main points, and Bible references, then allows you to choose from various themes. You can easily rearrange elements and add the finished product to your existing script or create a new one.
Expanded Templates
Media Shout 7 includes more pre-designed templates and now allows users to create and save their own. This feature is particularly useful for maintaining consistent branding across your presentations.
Enhanced Transitions
Apply transitions to individual objects or entire pages with just a few clicks. This allows for smooth, professional-looking transitions between slides and elements.
Improved Undo/Redo Functionality
Version 7 allows for multiple levels of undo and redo, giving you more freedom to experiment with your designs without fear of losing work.
Practical Applications for Ministry
Media Shout 7 shines in various ministry contexts:
The software’s intuitive “Presenter View” is perfect for volunteers who may not be familiar with the full range of features. It allows for simple navigation and presentation of prepared content.
MediaShout 7 offers a powerful yet accessible solution for churches and ministries looking to elevate their visual communication. Its blend of robust features and user-friendly interface makes it an excellent choice for both tech-savvy creators and those new to presentation software.
By leveraging tools like MediaShout 7, we can ensure that our visual presentation of the Gospel is as compelling and impactful as our spoken words. Whether you’re leading a small group or pastoring a large congregation, this software can help you communicate God’s truth more effectively in our visually-oriented world.
